The Principles Of Pilates - 5

Updated: Apr 18, 2023

A few well-designed movements, properly performed in a balanced sequence, are worth hours of doing sloppy callisthenics or forced contortion

Precision

Pilates principle number 5.

Precision is about the quality and accuracy of each movement and exercise.

Each movement should be exact - think about what you are doing and make your body get there.

There is an emphasis on quality not quantity in Pilates. The movements should not be hurried or rushed.

Each student works at their own pace and level. Everyone will perform the exercises at different speeds.

Remember slow and steady wins the race - it's not about how many you do but how well you do them!
