Did you know that Joseph Pilates originally called his method 'Contrology'?


All Pilates movements are slow and controlled and performed at a constant speed.


This helps to develop the correct technique. And it also further develops the connection between mind and body.


It can be closely linked with concentration - you need to ensure your body goes where you want it - don't just throw the arms and legs and hope for the best.


Try it - slow down and think and see if it makes a difference?
