What is it?

Aiming to improve the mobility and felxibility of the spine this class is designed to strengthen and lengthen the muscles in the back, as well as the supporting muscles. It helps to improve core stability and reduce pain and tension.

What do I need?

The class is mainly floor based but may sometimes be standing so you need space to lie down & stand.

Equipment needed - A mat if you have it but it's not essential. Sometimes you may need a Pilates mini ball, small cushion or rolled up pillow. Yoga belt, band or scarf. Chill out or easy listening background music if desired.

You will need Zoom dowloaded on your device to join the live class.

Please make sure you have consulted with your doctor prior to participating in any form of exercise and have a safe space to exercise in.

Who is it for?

Ideal for anyone with stiffness, tightness or weakness in their back. Anyone wanting to improve core strength and posture and increase flexibility. Anyone wanting to move more, exercise and de-stress.

Who is it not for?

Anyone who has any condition that is prohibative to exercise without prior medical authorisation.

Other Info

Everyone that books onto a class, regardless of attendance, will receive a link to a video of the class that will be available to replay up untill the day of the next class. Usually received within 24hrs.

Please ensure you have filled out the health questionnaire prior to the start of the first session. Access to the questionnaire is through the VFJ Pilates website.
