What is it?

This session fuses elements of a traditional ballet barre with classic Pilates exercises.

What do I need?

The class is mainly barre based but may sometimes be standing or mat based so you need space to stand and sometimes to sit down. Since the class is based around ballet style exercises you will often need plenty of space to swing your legs especially when standing.

Equipment needed - A sturdy chair, counter top or bannister to hold onto. A mat if you have it but it's not essential. Chill out or easy listening background music if desired.

You will need Zoom dowloaded on your device to join the live class.

Please make sure you have consulted with your doctor prior to participating in any form of exercise and have a safe space to exercise in.

Who is it for?

Anyone with ballet knowledge and beginners alike. Anyone whithout ballet knowledge who would like to try it. Anyone with an interest in dance and fitness. Anyone who wants a change from traditional Pilates. Anyone who wants to try something new. Anyone wanting to move more, exercise and de-stress.

Who is it not for?

Anyone who has any condition that is prohibative to exercise without prior medical authorisation.

Other Info

Everyone that books onto a class, regardless of attendance, will receive a link to a video of the class that will be available to replay up untill the day of the next class. Usually received within 24hrs.

Please ensure you have filled out the health questionnaire prior to the start of the first session. Access to the questionnaire is through the VFJ Pilates website.
